Victoria man arrested after restaurant broken into, staff assaulted

A man who assaulted the staff of a downtown restaurant Tuesday morning (April 19) was arrested by Victoria police. Around 8 a.m., VicPD patrol officers received reports of a man breaking into the kitchen of a restaurant in the 800-block of Douglas Street. He hit an employee with a metal bowl as they attempted to get him out of the restaurant, and was later arrested near the corner of Douglas and Courtney Streets. The 29-year-old Victoria resident faces recommended charges of forcible entry, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, mischief and assaulting a peace officer by spitting at him. He...

Summit Stage bus system switches to summer schedule

The Summit Stage began its operation for the summer season on Sunday, April 17. The bus system runs routes throughout Keystone, Breckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne, Dillon, Blue River and Copper Mountain. It also provides routes through Boreas Pass and in Lake and Park counties. This year, the Swan Mountain Flyer, which transports people to and from Breckenridge and Arapaho Basin Ski Area, will only operate on Saturdays and Sundays through May 30, according to the Summit Stage website. The “Alive in Roswell” monthly street festival kicks off the season this Thursday

Roswell will resumed its FREE monthly Alive in Roswell street festival, beginning April 21, 2022. The festivals take place on the third Thursday of each month, from 5 to 9 p.m., through October 20th, 2022. Festival events are spread over historic Canton Street, East Alley, Roswell Town Square, and the grounds of Roswell City Hall. You can park for free at Roswell City Hall.
