It’s going to be a fantastic weekend in the valley. Make sure you get out there and do something fun. There’s so much to do! We’ve listed a few things below but we all have that favorite place to go or thing to do.
It’s a great time to get the garden in, or clean out the garage, or take a bike ride, start a morning power walking routine. While you are out and about, make it a point to do something nice and unexpected for someone. Let that car merge in front of you, let that guy carrying just the 2 items go first at the grocery checkout, make someone’s day a little better and we’ll make all of Fresno just that much better.
HAPPY EARTH DAY! 4/22/23
Earth Day is like the planet’s birthday party, but instead of getting presents, we all try to give back to Mother Nature. It’s a yearly reminder that we need to clean up our act and be better housemates to the earth. You know, like finally doing the dishes and taking out the trash. Except in this case, the dishes are the piles of garbage we’ve been dumping everywhere, and the trash is the pollution we’ve been spewing into the air. So let’s celebrate Earth Day by giving our planet the ultimate gift: a break from our nonsense.
There’s an official “Earth Day Fresno” happening Saturday April 22 from 10AM – 4PM at Fresno City College and it sounds like the perfect thing for the Family.
There’s a Free bike clinic and bike valet offered by Fresno County Bicycle Coalition, a Free Electric Vehicle Ride & Drive hosted by the Clean Vehicle Empowerment Collaborative and plenty of Kids’ activities (tissue box blocks, percussion march, recycled Crayon art, and more!)
You’re going to get hungry but don’t worry you’ll have A Passion for Food, La Jacka Mobile, Greek N More, Kona Ice, Tacos La Vaporera, The Jaunty Peacock, and Wild Wild Chicks to keep you fed.
