These luxury RV resorts feature immaculately landscaped sites, often with panoramic views of the mountains, desert, or oceanside landscapes. All are privately-owned resorts and have both rental and owning options. Although rates are all a bit pricey, they’re often less than the average hotel room in the area, and with all the included amenities, can actually be a fantastic deal.
1. Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort
The sprawling 50-acre resort on South Carolina’s Hilton Head Island is one the most luxurious resorts in the country. It’s just a short bike from the resort to the beach and within walking distance of the resort are numerous shops and restaurants. Guests have access to free cable TV and WiFi, an exercise room, and a ton of outdoor activities, like tennis courts, pickleball courts, shuffleboard, and a swimming pool. With a dog park and dog wash on site, the resort is also a haven for dogs. This is a motorcoach resort only, no trailers permitted.
2. Solstice Motorcoach Resort
Located an hour outside of Las Vegas in the desert community of Mesquite, Nevada, Solstice Mountain Resort is one of the most lavish RV resorts in the southwest. Mesquite is a hotspot for golf and other outdoor activities and is close to many state and national parks including Zion National Park and Valley of Fire State Park. The park resort is surrounded by wide-open desert views and features community pet parks, walking trails, fitness facilities, game rooms, and lounge areas. Solstice welcomes both motorhomes and luxury fifth wheel trailers, and offers full hookups including cable, phone, and internet service.
3. Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort and Marina

Southern California’s Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort and Marina consistently ranks among the most luxurious RV resorts in the U.S. This gorgeous 110-acre resort is located right on a private mile-long beach and features a sandy swimming area, waterpark, and playground for kids. All types of RVs, travel trailers, and tents are welcome here and sites include full hookups and a picnic table. Several beachfront sites are available and include their own grassy lawn right in front of the site. Other resort amenities include a swimming pool, on-site boat launch, beach campfire rings, beach cabanas, and watersports rentals.
4. Bluewater Key RV Resort
This amenity-packed RV resort is located just 20 minutes from Key West proper. Each site is privately owned, but many sites are available for rent when not in use. Sites are elegantly landscaped with native tropical plants and waterfront sites feature their own private docks. Owners add their own personal flair to their site so some rentals come with their own tiki huts, additional patio furniture, and outdoor kitchens. Bluewater also features a dog park, clubhouse, community dock, and boat launch. Minimum RV length is 24 feet; fifth wheels and travel trailers are permitted if they meet the park’s standards.
5. Motorcoach Country Club

Located near glitzy Palm Springs, California, the Motorcoach Country Club has more in common with a 5-star resort than an RV park. Each site is meticulously manicured with palm trees and desert plants and some sites come with their own private pools and gardens. You’ll find all the luxuries here from a golf course, tennis courts, and multiple swimming pools and spas to an onsite fine dancing restaurant, concierge service, and yacht club. The Motorcoach Country Club only accommodates Class A motorhomes 30 feet and larger.
6. Polson Motorcoach and RV Resort
Situated on the shores of Montana’s Flathead Lake, Polson Motorcoach and RV Resort is one of the West’s top-rated RV parks. Polson Motorcoach is located in the heart of Big Sky Country – surrounded by Flathead National Forest and the Mission Mountains and just 90 minutes from Glacier National Park. Open mid April through mid October, Polson Motorcoach offers the best in luxury RV resort living with site upgrades including outdoor kitchens, gas fire pits, outdoor dining areas, and more. Other amenities include shower and laundry facilities, a fitness area, fenced dog run, and communal fire pits. Sites are limited to Class A rigs.
7. Mountain View RV Resort
Nestled into southern Colorado’s San Juan Mountains, Mountain Views RV Resort offers fantastic access to fly fishing, hiking, mountaineering, ATVing, and more. Open May through October, Mountain View offers daily and monthly rentals with full hookups and a picnic table. All types of RVs are welcome and amenities include riverfront fly fishing on the Rio Grande River, a fitness center, fenced dog run, free WiFi, and outdoor BBQ area. Several newly restored cabins are also available for rent.
