4 Pines to open Hunter Valley taproom

On November 1, when the barriers on regional travel within NSW are removed, 4 Pines will open their latest taproom at a farm-style resort in the Hunter Valley town of Pokolbin.

To be known as 4 Pines at The Farm, the seventh hospitality venue in 4 Pines’ portfolio will be part of the Helé family-owned Hunter Farm that’s home to the Hunter Valley Resort which boasts a hotel, wine cellar door and functions centre and offers a vast array of activities to the general public like bike tours and pony rides.

The new 4 Pines taproom and bistro will have a suite of their core beers on tap as well as a rotating small batch of their limited edition Keller Door releases.

4 Pines’ hospitality manager Adam Dearing said Pokolbin was an ideal location for their second venue in the region after the Charlestown taproom near Newcastle had developed “a strong local following” since opening two years ago.

“The Hunter has been crying out for something other than a wine and food offering, and with the Hele’s rich hospitality history and strong local connection, we’ve created a new offering for both the local community and thriving tourism market,” he said.

In a statement, 4 Pines said the indoor-outdoor venue has a 300 person capacity and has the aesthetic of their existing hospitality venues. It said: “Think recycled timber and a weathered façade, plus a bespoke mural painted alongside the bar”.

When open, 4 Pines at The Farm will be open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
