Hooray, it is August! Here’s a day-by-day breakdown of amazing East Bay fun activities for the kids in our lives.

Weekend of July 31 – August 1

7/31 Super cute afternoon magic show for free at Flexa on Fourth.
8/1 Choo choo with the model trains in Point Richmond.

Week Beginning Monday, August 2

8/2 Run up and down the Montclair skate ramps before the big kids show up.
8/3 Catch the hilarious second LEGO Movie for $1 apiece.
8/4 Jump out the sillies at Pump it Up Open Jump if you dare.
8/5 Take a mid-week daycation at Don Castro Swimming area.
8/6 See the adorable Smallfoot on the big outdoor screen in S. Berkeley.
8/7 Eat outside and don’t worry about the mess. Off the Grid is back in Alameda.
8/8 Party with some not-so-creepy critters in Sunol. RSVP.

Week Beginning Monday, August 9

8/9 Stop and smell the roses at the Oakland Rose Garden – everything is in full bloom.
8/10 Play some pinball in Alameda.
8/11 Eat bagels in El Cerrito before playing at Cerrito Vista Park.
8/12 Steal away for a day trip to Folsom Aquatic Center or the Old Sacramento Waterfront.
8/13 Cheer on the Spiders professional Ultimate team in Oakland. Kids under 13 are free.
8/14 Enjoy a scrumptious BBQ and tot-friendly bouncers at Flexa’s final summer event on 4th St. Free but RSVP.
8/15 Hike to a delicious pancake breakfast with all the views!

Week Beginning Monday, August 16

8/16 Play at a splash park before it gets too cool.
8/17 Kids bowl free at some East Bay lanes. Is one of them near you?
8/18 Pick up some juicy peaches at the Farmers Market for dessert. Or plan to pick some!
8/19 Pick up a coffee at Catahoula before playing at Solano Playlot.
8/20 Stay up late for an Oakland A’s game vs. the Giants with fireworks!
8/21 Enjoy a sweet treat of warm cookies and milk.
8/22 Rock along with Rockin’ Kids Sing-Along in El Cerrito.

Week Beginning Monday, August 23

8/23 Visit Angel Island and bike around enjoying the Bay.
8/24 Spend the day in kid-friendly Lafayette for a special hike and favorite foods. Oh, and candy!
8/25 Ride bikes this afternoon – around town or your neighborhood school.
8/26 Feed the greedy goats and cows at Little Farm.
8/27 Enjoy a Friday night beer – with the kids too!
8/28 Enjoy the local circus performance of Circus Bella at the Yerba Buena Gardens.
8/29 Go fly a kite in honor of the Berkeley Kite Festival that should be happening this weekend. Sniff.

Week Beginning Monday, August 30

8/30 Explore the trails near Mori Point (Pacifica) or find another Bay Area beach to visit.
