The All-new Sidi Dimaro
When I think of Sidi shoes, I think carbon, cross country, road, and enduro, downhill really never come to mind. All that changed this week when Sidi released the Dimaro a shoe it says is designed specifically for the demands of today’s downhill, enduro, and all-mountain riders.

All about the grip
Sidi has partnered with Vibram for a proprietary Megagrip outsole with soft, sticky rubber. Sidi says the rubber itself was selected to dampen trail vibrations and to soak up hard landings.

Sidi believes the Vibram sole also provides the intuitive pedal feel underneath the rider. The midsole comprised of EVA which provides a robust pedaling platform with excellent shock absorption.

The tread design is similar to the Vans waffle pattern at some sections and super-tight micro triangles that grip the pedal and pins easily – while allowing the rider to move and adjust quickly. Inside, the shoes’ midsole is dense EVA foam that is said to offer reliable platform support for efficient pedaling and added shock absorption.

Ventilation and protection for the rider
The upper crafted from microfiber with venting in the toe box and sides. The closure system uses laces to secure the shoe with elastic hook and loop over the top to secure the laces and keep the elements out.

The Sidi Dimaro has extended bumpers near the sole, additional reinforcement over the heel, and all offer protection from potential trail damage. The heel cup also gets extended coverage to keep debris out with a partial neoprene gaiter.

The tongue of the Dimaro is vented and padded just in case anything from the trail comes back to bite you. The heel of the Dimaro supports an elastic collar that helps keep out dirt and debris. The toe-box is covered with embossed flexible thermoplastic polyurethane to keep the toes safe and to hide nicks and scratches.
Pricing and availability
The Dimaro is available in sizes: 37 – 48, in whole sizes for the price of $224.99
